Tree plantation week starts in Larkana distt

LARKANA: Cleanliness and tree plantation week has been started in entire Larkana district, including Naundero, on the directives of Sindh Chief Secretary.

In Larkana, the week was started by Deputy Commissioner Javed Jagirani and in Naundero, it was inaugurated by Assistant Commissioner Ratodero Dr Mohammad Bux Dharejo.

On the occasion, DC directed NSUSC and Taluka Municipal Officer that Sindh government had initiated program to ensure cleanliness so they should take all out efforts to accomplish it, otherwise stern action will be taken.

He directed them to clean all localities and streets irrespective of their status by sending their sanitation staff so that garbage could be removed from the city. He said cleanliness is half Eeman through which many diseases could be controlled. DC Jagirani then planted a sapling in District Council office.

He said during the event that the target of planting tree should be achieved at all costs to improve the environment and all should ensure that trees were planted along roads, towns, villages, cities, paths, roundabouts to male Larkana district greener and pollution free.

Dr. Dharejo started the cleanliness drive from Naundero and also planted a sapling. He said that he will ensure that cleanliness was always maintained in Naundero.
