Tribal of Landikotal  demands compensation for Torkham Terminal

Peshawar: The activists of major political parties and hailing from Khoga Khel tribe, staged a demonstration outside the Press Club on Monday demanding compensation from the government from the proposed terminal at Torkham.

Led by the elders of Khoga Khel national committee, Zulfiqar, Ajar Khan, Tanzeem Gul, Syed Hakeem Shinwari, Mohammad Hussain Shinwarim Israr Shinwari, Jaffar Shinwari and others, the activists from JUI_JI, PPP, PML-N and PTI, chanted slogans in favor of their demands.

Carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans they said their tribes was comprising on three Tappas. They said the national Highway authority has started terminal at Torkham and this is the property of the Khoga Khel Shinwari, they should be given their rights and facilities.

They rejected any agreement without taking their national committee into confidence. They warned to stage protest demonstration outside the governor house and Peshawar High court if their demands were not met.
