Turkey donates meningitis vaccine for Pakistani pilgrims

Islamabad: Turkey has donated 150 thousand doses of meningitis vaccine worth 6.6 million dollars for the intending Pakistani Hajj pilgrims this year.

First Secretary of Turkish Embassy handed over the vaccine to Joint Secretary Ministry of Religious Affairs Shahzad Ahmed at a ceremony in Islamabad on Monday.

The vaccine will be administered to pilgrims at the time of training at Haji camps before leaving for Saudi Arabia. Speaking on the occasion, Joint Secretary thanked the Turkish government for the donation.
