Two alleged bandits killed in encounter

KARACHI: SSP East Zone Police Pir Muhammad Shah said that police had killed two alleged bandits during an encounter in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

Station House Officer (SHO) Gulshan Orangzaib Khattak told PPI that two alleged dacoits were looting a woman near Maskan Chowrangi. He said that police patrolling there tried to arrest them but they opened fire on police which was returned by police. In crossfire for some time, two alleged bandits were killed on the spot. No policemen was injured in the shootout, SHO said.

Khattak said that the bodies were identified as Tariq Ali and Saleem Sadaruddin. They were shifted to nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities.
