Two alleged robbers killed in shootout

KARACHI: Two alleged robbers were killed in a police encounter in Gulshan-e-Bunair in Quaidabad on Friday. According to police, two alleged robbers riding a bike opened fire on police during snap checking in Gulshan-e-Bunair when security personnel stopped them. In retaliatory fire by police, the two accused were injured. They succumbed to their injuries while on their way to a hospital, police said.

Later, the bodies were transferred to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

Police have recovered two pistols with bullets and a stolen motorcycle from their possession.
