Two alleged terrorists killed, cop martyred in rangers raid

KARACHI: Two alleged terrorists were killed while an officer martyred in a raid by Rangers and police in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of metropolis on Tuesday.

According to rangers, the raid was conducted on terrorists by rangers on a residential flat in Fahad Garden, 13-D Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

They said terrorists opened firing on them and a rangers official Sajjad, was critically injured. He was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where he succumbed to his injuries.

However, in retaliatory firing from Rangers, two terrorists, Abdul Ahad and Kamran were killed and two women were taken into custody. The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

Ahad was commander of an international banned organization in Karachi and allegedly involved in Safoora Goth massacre.

Weapons were also seized from their possession. It was said that the arrested women were wives of the killed terrorists.
