Two fall prey to Karachi violence

KARACHI: Two persons were killed and three others injured in separate incidents of violence in the city on Thursday. A youth, Zeeshan, 25, son of Iqbal, resident of Hussainabad, was shot dead near his residence in a food street. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

A man, Akber, 32, son of Ghazanfar, was shot dead near Johar Chowrangi in Gulistan-e-Johar. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for an autopsy.

Separately, a man, Nadeem, 28, son of Muhammad Nazir, received bullet injuries through a stray bullet near his house in Akhter Colony. The injured was rushed to JPMC for medical treatment.

A youth, Khan, 22, son of Malik Khan, was injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire on him in Defence Housing Authority phase 2. He was taken to JPMC for medical aid.

Some unidentified assailants shot and injured a man, Asif, 29, son of Muhammad Ibrahim, in Manzoor Colony, Baloch Colony. The injured was rushed to JPMC for treatment.
