Two get three-year term in explosives case

KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism court-VIII (ATC-VIII) on Tuesday awarded three-year imprisonment to two accused, Mukhtiar Ahmed and Imran in explosives material case.

Police produced the accused before ATC- VIII judge under tight security. ATC- VIII Judge pronounced the verdict after recording evidences and statements of witnesses and hearing the arguments from both sides.

According to the prosecution, the accused were involved in explosives material possession on 14 October 2013 within the jurisdiction of Baghdadi police station.

The case FIR 288/13 and 291/13 were registered under section 4/5 of the Explosive Substance Act at the Baghdadi police station.
