Two killed, eight injured in city

KARACHI: Two persons including a policeman were killed and eight others injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Tuesday.

A man, Mohammad Saleem, 28, son of Lalo Mian, was gunned down by unknown armed men near 100 Quarters in Korangi. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for an autopsy.

A police man, Ibrahim, 40, was killed and Mohibullah, 33, injured when armed motorcyclist opened fired on them near Empress Market in Jahangir Park, Saddar area. The body and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi.

A youth, Ikram, 25, son of Mohammad Ayub, was injured by stray bullets in City Railway Colony. He was rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.

In another incident, three youngsters, Rehan, 21, son of Altaf, his brother, Arsalan, 23, and Tahir, 25, son of Abdul Haq, were injured by unknown armed men at Electronics Market in Firdous Colony area of Liaquatabad. They were brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

Two persons, Hunain and Saleem were injured to dacoits when they offered resistance to them in a bid of robbery at Sarafa Bazar in Kharadar. Both the injured were shifted to CHK for treatment.

Yet in another incident, another youth, Waqas Qureshi, 24, son of Mohammad Farooq, was shot and injured by unknown gunmen near Akhter Colony in Defence Morr. He was shifted JPMC for treatment.
