Two killed, five injured in mishaps

KARACHI: Two persons were killed and five others injured in different accidents in the metropolis on Monday.

A man, Ghulam Mustafa, 35, son of Usman, was killed and Zaheer, 35, son of Mohammad, injured when a speeding vehicle hit them near Ghagar Phatak area of Bin Qasim Town. The body and injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for an autopsy and treatment, respectively.

In another road mishap, a man, Saad Qureshi, 30, son of Saeed Qureshi, was killed and a youth, Ali Haider, 22, son of Ahmad Ali, resident of Model Colony, injured when a speeding vehicle hit them near Security Printing Press in Malir. The body and injured were shifted to JPMC for an autopsy and treatment, respectively.

According to rescue sources, a man, aged about 40, was injured when a vehicle hit him near Jamali Bridge, Super Highway. He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

A man, aged about 35, was seriously wounded when loaded Suzuki van crushed him near PSO petrol pump in Korangi No. 3 ½. He was shifted to Sindh Government Hospital Korangi.

A man, Abdul Sattar, 25, was injured due to electric short circuit during work in a factory near Gul Bai chowk. He was taken to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.
