Two killed, one injured in traffic mishaps

KARACHI: Two people were killed and one other was injured in different road accidents in the metropolis on Wednesday.

According to rescue sources, a man, Mohammad Iqbal, aged about 55, son of Safeer, a resident of North Nazimabad, was killed when a speeding car hit him near Baba Morr in New Karachi. The deceased was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy.

A 60-year-old man, Robin, son of Khaliq, was crushed to death by a speeding vehicle on Shahrah-e-Faisal near Lal Kothi in Nursery area. He belong to Dehli colony. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JMPC) for medico-legal formalities.

Separately, a man, Riaz, 45, son of Ramzan, a resident of Malir, was injured when an speeding vehicle hit him near Model colony Morr in Malir area. The wounded was rushed to JMPC for treatment.
