Two tribesmen killed in clash near Gambat

KHAIRPUR: Two people were killed in crossfire that took place between two tribes within the jurisdiction of Sadiq Kalhoro police station near Gambat on Wednesday.

A group of armed persons entered village Sadiq Kalhoro in Katcha area of Indus River and opened fire, where villagers retaliated the fire. During crossfire for some time, two attackers Amanullah and Abdul Latif Narejo were killed. However, their accomplished managed to escape under the cover of the fire.

The incident occurred over an old enmity between two rival Kalhoro and Narejo tribes. The enmity has so far taken lives of several people.

Meanwhile, Sadiq Kalhoro police claimed to have killed two criminals during an encounter near village Sadiq Kalhoro. Police said killed persons were criminals and wanted in several cases of crimes.
