Two TTP men remanded to police

KARACHI: : An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday remanded two alleged activists of banned outfit Tehreek-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to police custody till 15 April 2015 in an explosive material case.

Police produced Abdul Basit and Imdadullah before the ATC judge under tight security. The investigation officer requested the court that the police needed their physical custody to trace accused’s connections and other criminal activities. The court accepted the police request and remanded the accused to their custody for 14 days.

According to the prosecution, the rangers arrested both the accused and handed over them to police. Explosive material had been recovered from accused’s possession.
