Two women killed, three injured in city

KARACHI: Two women were killed and three other persons injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Wednesday.

The body of a tortured girl, Qurat-ul-Ain, 25, daughter of Asghar Raza, was found the bushes in Allah Wala Town Korangi Crossing area. It was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for a postmortem.

A woman, Gulab Fatima, 25, wife of Asif, was strangulated at her house in Five Star Apartments in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 2. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital Karachi (ASH) for an autopsy.

A youth, Qamar, 25, son of Saeed was injured by dacoits when he offered resistance to them in a bid of robbery in 5-C Buffer Zone. He was rushed to ASH for treatment.

A man, Shair Mohammad, 42, son of Sameer Khan, was shot and injured by unknown gunmen in Ghous Pak Road in Korangi No. 4. He was brought to JPMC for treatment.

In another firing incident, a youth, Shakeel, 26, was wounded to bullets when unknown gunmen opened fire on him in Gharib Nawaz Bus stop in Korangi No 2 ½. He was shifted to JPMC for treatment.
