ISLAMABAD: The U.S. Consulate General in Lahore, Consul General Zachary Harkenrider expressed grief over the death of Amjad Iqbal Shah, a local contract guard working at the U.S. Consulate General in Lahore, on Tuesday.
According to a US Embassy statement, Mr. Shah suffered serious injuries when his firearm discharged while he was on duty. He was immediately taken to a local hospital, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
Mr. Shah, an employee of Security Management Services (SMS), had been working at the Consulate General for over four years, had an excellent work history, and was a well-respected member of our team. “We offer our deepest condolences to Mr. Shah’s family’ the Consul General said.
