Ubaid K2, Shah’s remand extended

KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday extended the physical remand of two accused, Ubaid alias K2 and Nadir Shah, to police custody till 13 April 2015 in two cops murder case.

Police produced the accused before the ATC judge under tight security. The investigation officer requested the court to extend the physical remand of both accused to their custody as they were further required for investigation. The court accepted the police request and extended the physical remand of both the accused till 13 April.

According to the prosecution, Sub-Inspector Mohammad Rehan and Sub-Inspector Mohammad Nisar were killed on 23 March 2000 when unknown armed men attacked them near Soldier Bazaar.

Ubaid K2 and Nadir Shah were among the suspects arrested by rangers from MQM headquarter Nine-Zero on 11 March 2015.
