UNHCR: (UNHCR facilitates return of over 53,166 Afghan refugees)

ISLAMABAD: The United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) has facilitated the return of over 53,166 registered Afghan refugees from Pakistan so far this year.

According to a report, from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this year, some 27,234 registered Afghan refugees have returned back to their homes.

In addition, 11,758 from Punjab, 4,295 from Sindh, 6,255 from Balochistan, 740 refugees from Islamabad and 2,884 from Azad Jammu and Kashmir also went back to Afghanistan.
