Uplift scheme inaugurated

Karachi: Special Assistant to CM Sindh for Culture and Tourism Ms sharmila Faruqui has inaugurated the development scheme of Chowkandi graveyard at Malir.

The development scheme ‘Protection, Preservation and Rehabilitation of Chowkandi graveyard’ has an estimated cost of Rs 44.43 million. The development work consists of construction of compound wall covering 86.14 acres to stop encroachments.

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by secretary culture, tourism and antiquities Abdul Kareem Ssolangi, Director Archeology Sindh Qasim Ali Qasim, Director PDMI Cell Roshan Kanasro and others.
