KARACHI: On the directive of Commissioner Karachi, Assistant Commissioner North Nazimabad Rafique Ahmed Shaikh visited four girls’ schools of North Nazimabad to check out utilization of School Management Committee’s fund being provided under Sindh Education Reforms Project on Thursday.
According to detail, Assistant Commissioner visited GGPS Unit-2, North Nazimabad, GGPS 14-B Shadman Town, GGPS Moosa Goth and GGLS Haidry. On the occasion, school administrations and SMC members briefed Assistant Commissioner Rafique Ahmed Shaikh about the utilization of funds. Assistant Commissioner said that SMC funds were being provided to create a healthy environment and provide basic facilities at schools.
He said that it was the responsibility of school administrations and committees to utilize those funds in proper and transparent way to provide conducive educational environment to students. He said that Commissioner Karachi had directed to check out utilization of SMC funds on regular basis so that transparency could be ensured and reports of those visits would be sent to Commissioner Karachi.
