Woman among four killed in road mishaps

KARACHI: Four persons, including a woman, were killed and four others injured in separate road mishaps here on Wednesday.

A youth, Maaz, 20, son of Ismail, was killed when a speedy vehicle hit him near Siemens roundabout. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.

In a recent incident, an unidentified man, aged about 60, was killed he was crossing the road in area of Bilal roundabout. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for an autopsy.

In another incident, a woman, Yasmeen, 60, wife of Mushtaque, was killed when a fast-moving vehicle hit her on University Road. The body was shifted to a private hospital.

Yet in another incident, an aged man, Shairani, son of Mohammad Zada, resident of Bilal colony, was killed when a fast-moving vehicle hit him in Industrial area of Bilal colony. The body was shifted to JPMC for medico-legal formalities.

Separately, two persons, Rashid, 35, Ghulam Fareed and Sikandar, 20, son of Rehman, were injured when they were crossing the road near Disco Morr, Mohammad Shah Graveyard. Both were brought to ASH for treatment.

Meanwhile, two persons, Ayaz, 25, son of Niaz, and Zahid, 40, son of Sadique, residents of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, 13-D, were injured when a fast-moving vehicle hit their motorcycle near FTC building on Shahrah-e-Faisal. They were shifted to JPMC for treatment.
