Woman among three dead in road mishaps

KARACHI: Woman among three persons died and four others injured in separate road mishaps here on Monday.

A man, Tahir-Ul-Salam, 31, son of Abdul Latif, died when a fast-moving vehicle hit him near Defense Housing Authority (DHA) traffic signal. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

In another incident, an unidentified man died in a road accident at Main Superhighway police post. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy.

Yet in another incident, a woman, Sambrina, wife of Maarif, died and her two children Javid, 5, and Qainat, 6 were injured when a fast-moving vehicle hit their car near Defense Library in Defense Housing Authority (DHA). The body and injured were shifted to JPMC.

Separately, a youth, Adnan, 25, son of Afzal, was injured when a fast-moving vehicle hit his motorcycle near Star Mills in SITE area. The injured was rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for treatment.

Meanwhile, an aged man, Mohammad Saddiq, 60, son of Abdul Rehman, was injured when a fast-moving vehicle hit him near Lasbela Chowk. The injured was rushed to CHK for treatment.
