Woman gets life term in murder case

KARACHI: An Additional District & Sessions Judge Choudhry Waseem Iqbal awarded life imprisonment with fine of Rs 100,000 to woman, Aisha Nazim who was involved in cop murder.

The court found Aisha Nazim guilty of murdering police constable Fida Hussain on 4th February 2009. Additional District & Sessions Judge pronounced the verdict after recording evidences, statements of witnesses and hearing arguments from both sides. The court also imposed the fine of Rs 100,000 on the convict women who will have to undergo an additional six-month imprisonment if she fails to pay the fine.

According to the prosecution, Aisha with his accomplices, Mohammad Kamran, Raza and Pathan alias Don was involved in murder of police constable Fida Hussain on 4 February 2009 within the limits of Model colony police station. Later the police arrested her but her accomplices were still absconding.
