Work on Mansehra Grid Station to begin in September)

ISLAMABAD: A grid station will be built in Mansehra at a cost of $20 million and for this purpose 120 kanals of land has been acquired.

The construction of the grid station will commence in September this year and will be completed in December next year.

The decision has been taken by the Ministry of Water and Power keeping in view the demand of the locals due to severe issue of low voltage of electricity being transmitted in the area.

Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Murtaza Javed Abbasi, while congratulating the people of Mansehra said that the government was committed to resolve the issues of energy crises and poverty in the country. He said the government is taking all possible measures to provide basic amenities to masses.

He assured that similar projects will be started in other parts of the Hazara Division in future to fulfil the electricity needs. He thanked the Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and Minister for Water Power for approval of grant for construction of grid station in District Mansehra.
