Peshawar: The Youth Challenge Fund (YCF) established by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will create new employment opportunities in the Province and also well provide financial facilities for the initiation of economically viable enterprises by the youth, which will bring prosperity in the province.
This was stated by KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak during the MoU signing ceremony of Youth Challenge Fund(YCF). The initiatives are taken by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Industries Department & the Bank of Khyber (BOK) jointly for the encouragement of deserving youth and people from all walks of life in the province to promote socio-economic development in the province.
The MOU singing ceremony was held at Chief Minister’s Secretariat this afternoon and was graced by the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak, BOK MD Shams-ul-Qayyum, while MOU was signed by Sajid Khan Jadoon Provincial Secretary Industries & Mr. Imran Samad Executive Vice-President & Group Head Credits BOK on behalf of their respective institutions. The Rs. 120 Million MOU ceremony was also attended by BOK Head Micro Finance Mr. Abdul Qadoos Khan, BOK Head Marketing Syed Ali Nawaz Gilani apart from other senior officers.
The Chief Minister was briefed on this occasion that the YCF will be interest free with a size of Rs. 0.2 Million to 2. 0 Million on case to case basis for the period of 3 to 7 years for the permanent residents of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.
