ISLAMABAD: Salman Taseer rendered his life for the poor and suppressed class of the society, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari said on Sunday.

Paying rich tribute to the slain Punjab governor on the eve of his fifth death anniversary, Zardari said space for moderate voices was fast shrinking in the society resulting in unrest and chaos in the country.

The former president said the PPP would resist the extremist mindset, which was meant to spread violence against the minorities of the country.
