10 accused of abduction for ransom apprehended: CCPO

QUETTA: Ten accused including ring leader involved in abduction for ransom have been apprehended. They have admitted of receiving ransom from abducted persons. This was stated by Capital City Police Officer Zuber Mahmood at a Press conference here Sunday. He said on information that Amir Hamza Mengal involved in abduction of Dr Muhammad Amin Mengal in Quetta last year was lodged at District Jail Mastung. On the orders of court, police called him from the jail and interrogated.

He disclosed his other accomplices including Azeem Jan, Muhammad Bilal, Inayatullah, Ali Nawaz and Khair Muhammad. They are main members of his gang. They are lodged in District Jail Mastung in other cases. A case has been registered against these accused for involvement in abduction of Dr Amin Mengal. During further investigation another accused Malik Mudassar was arrested from Sariab road.

Amir Hamza revealed that he abducted Dr Amin Mengal and released him after recovery of Rupees 33.3 million. Of this he paid Rupees 0.6 million to Malik Mudassar Shahwani. He said Mudassar Shahwani, Muhammad Osman Gorgej, Fateh Muhammad, Karim Jan Badini and Ramzan Badini were also involved with them. Only Mudassar Shahwani was arrested. These accused had recovered Rupees 0.6 million from a Badino boy from Shaikh Zayed hospital, Rupees 1.5 million by abducting Sajjad Gajani from Brewery road. They had also kidnapped Ghazi Kan owner of Ghazi Steel Mills.

They also admitted abduction of a Sindhi boy from Musa colony, a Khilji boy from Eastern By pass, Kaleemullah form Brewery road, Amanullah Jamaldini from New Adda and another Khilji boy from Eastern by pass. They all were released after recovery of ransom.

A man Saad Rafiq was also kidnapped form Shahbaz Town Phase-II. Own to police naka bandi they released him on 20th. On his indication police conducted a raid in Killi Ismail and arrested Amanullah and Zakir Hussain. Their other gangsters Imran Zehri, Saddam, Gazen Zehri, Muhammad Yar Langov and Humayun Kibzai were still at large, he added.
