19 new dengue fever cases reported in Karachi

KARACHI: Nineteen more dengue viral fever cases were reported in Karachi on Wednesday, said Dengue Surveillance Cell.

Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh Dr M Shakeel Aamir Mullick said a total of 295 dengue fever cases have been reported in Sindh province since January 2013, out of them 286 in Karachi and nine in rest of the province.

He said two dengue patients expired in Karachi this year. He further said 25 dengue patients were still admitted to different hospitals of the city and eight others were discharged from hospitals after treatment from 18 to 19th June.
