Karachi: Twenty-seven more dengue viral fever cases were reported in Karachi, said Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh on Saturday.
Dr M Shakeel Aamir Mullick Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh said that a total of 906 dengue fever cases have been reported in Sindh province since January 2013, out of them 863 were reported in Karachi and 43 in rest of province. He said ten dengue patients expired in Karachi this year so far.
Mullick said that 44 dengue patients were still admitted to different hospitals of the Sindh and 27 new cases were reported in metropolis on 31st of August. He further said five new cases were also detected in Hyderabad city.
He informed that 30 cases were detected in Hyderabad, one in Larkana, one in Dadu, two in Kambar, one in Khairpur, two in Sanghar, one in Naushero Feroz, two in Shikarpur, two in Thatta and one in Kashmore since January 2013.
However, 12 patients were discharged from hospitals after treatment across the province.
