40th PIA Scouts Provincial Executive Council meeting held

KARACHI: 40th PIA Scouts Provincial Executive Council meeting was held under the chairmanship of Director HRA&C PIA and Provincial Commissioner PIA Scouts Shahnawaz Rehman.

Assistant Provincial Commissioners, Provincial and District Secretaries and Commissioner and Executives of 12 districts from Airports all over the countries participated in the meeting.

Provincial Secretary Malik Ajmal Khan presented the agenda of the meeting which included the election of Provincial Commissioner for the next two years, Provincial Council and Finance Sub Committee PIA and National Council of Pakistan Boys Scouts members’ election, Confirmation of the last meeting recommendations, North and South Divisions’ result of annual inspection2012, issues of Public Relations and reports of Training and social activities.

In the first session, members of Provincial Council highlighted the services of Shahnawaz Rehman towards PIA Scouts and re-elected him for the next two years as Provincial Commissioner. Shahnawaz Rehman after getting the appointment from the President and Chief Scout of Pakistan as Provincial Commissioner took the responsibilities two years back. He is also serving as Deputy Chief Commissioner Pakistan Boy Scouts.

In the second session for the next two years 3 members were elected for Finance Committee. Four members for Provincial Council PIA Scouts were elected from the district headquarters of North and South Divisions. One years extension was given to PIA Scouts members for the National Council of Pakistan.

In the third session recommendations of the last meeting were confirmed. Future projects and the annual budget were also confirmed.
