53% Pakistanis think that 9/11 affected Pakistan a lot; 11% think it did not affect, Poll

Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 53% Pakistanis think that 9/11 affected Pakistan a lot; 11% think it did not affect Pakistan.

A nationally representative sample of men and women, from across the four provinces was asked “How much is Pakistan affected by 9/11?” In response, 53% thought Pakistan was affected too much, 34% though it affected Pakistan a little and 11% said that it did not affect Pakistan. 2% did not respond.

The study was released by Gilani foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2655 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during Sep 09, 2013 – Sep 16, 2013. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
