Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 55% of Pakistanis think the country-wide health situation has improved because of Lady Health Workers.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “In your opinion, has the country-wide health situation improved, worsened or remained the same because of Lady Health Workers?” Responding to this, 55% think it has improved, 32% think it has remained the same and 13% think it has worsened.
The study was released by Gilani foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.
The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2640 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during January 20, 2013 – January 27, 2013. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
