56% Pakistani men perform their Eid prayers in a neighborhood mosque,Poll

Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 56% Pakistani men perform their Eid prayers in a neighborhood mosque. A nationally representative sample of men from across the four provinces was asked “Where do you usually offer your Eid prayers?” Responding to this, 56% said they perform their Eid prayers at a neighborhood mosque, 39% said they go to an Eidgah and 2% said that they offer them at home. 2% said they do not offer Eid prayers and 1% did not respond.

The study was released by Gilani Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1446 men in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during August 12, 2013 – August 19, 2013. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
