67000 Afghan refugees reside in Gadap town

KARACHI: Senate Standing Committee on States and Frontier Regions visited Afghan refugees camp at Gadap Town, here on Wednesday evening.

Chairman of the Committee Senator Muhammad Saleh Shah speaking to the Afghan refugees leaders said the basic problems of the camp like clean water, gas and schools would be resolved soon.

Commissioner of Afghan refugee camp Sindh Agha Ghazanfar Ali and the Chairman Abdullah Shah Bukhari informed the Committee that 67000 Afghan refugees reside in Gadap town and 350000 Afghan refugees have been living in entire Sindh since 1986.

Chairman Senator Muhammad Saleh accompanied by Committee members Senator Ahmed Hussan and Senator Hilal ur Rehman visited the Afghan refugees camp.
