Accountability Court Awards 26 Years Rigorous Imprisonment and 12.577 Million Fine in Frontier Constabulary Pension Fraud Case

Peshawar: Accountability Court No. 2 Peshawar in its judgment in two references filed by NAB KP awarded a total of 26 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs.12.577 Million to three accused officials of GPO Peshawar involved in embezzlement of Frontier Constabulary (FC) retired employees pension funds. They withdrew the pension of retired, deceased and widows pension through fake names.

Taking cognizance of the scam, NAB (KP) arrested the accused officials and started investigations and filed references in the Accountability Court, which announced the verdict in favour of NAB (KP).

As per details GPO official Yaqoob Khan fined Rs.8.690 million and Rigorous imprisonment of 11 years, Sajid Ali find Rs.2 Million and Rigorous imprisonment of 10 years and Niaz Ahmad find to Rs.1.877 Million and rigorous imprisonment of 05 years while the main accused Safdar Khan has expired.
