Afghan Defense minister visits Quetta

QUETTA: An Afghanistan delegation led by Defense Minister General Bismillah Khan Muhammadi visited two prestigious military training institutions in Quetta on Tuesday. The Afghan delegation included Deputy Defense Minister, DG Military Operations, DG Military Intelligence, Inspector General Training and other senior Officers. Delegation was received by Commander Southern Command Lt Gen Muhammad Alam Khattak at Samungli Air Base.

During their visits to Command & Staff College and Infantry School, Afghan delegate displayed enhanced interest in the training system of Pakistan Army. Afghan Defense Minister conveyed his appreciation on the standards of training achieved by these institutions and pledged for enhanced interaction and cooperation between the two neighbouring Armies particularly in the field of training.

The delegation which is on five day visit to Pakistan left for Islamabad late afternoon.
