AIR CHIEF AWARDS CASH PRIZES TO ASIAN JUNIOR SQUASH TEAM CHAMPIONS

ISLAMABAD: Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, who is also the President Pakistan Squash Federation awarded cash prizes to Pakistan Junior Squash Team for winning Gold Medal in the 16th Asian Junior Squash Team) Championship, held at Seoul Korea).

Pakistan boys’ team comprising Ali Bukhari, Tayyab Aslam, Ammad Fareed and Bilal Zakir delivered excellent results. In the Championship Final, Pakistan defeated India by 20 and clinched the Gold Medal of this prestigious event.

The President Pakistan Squash Federation appreciated the performance of the national junior boys team in the Asian Squash Championship.

He further said that this victory would help in bringing back the lost glories in the game of Squash. He also expressed his satisfaction on the performance of girls’ team which stood at 5th position out of the 08 participating teams.

He hoped that with more international exposure, Pakistani girls would improve their standing at the international level in the coming days.
