AJK govt. gives priority to health, education: Majeed

Islamabad: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir AJK Prime Minister Ch. Abdul Majeed has said that his government is giving priority to the promotion of health and education sector and has formulated a new health policy to achieve the targets.

He stated this during a briefing on health policy given by the AJK Health Minister Sardar Qamar Zaman Khan at Kashmir House in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister said that under the new health policy government has set up three medical colleges while work on two others is in progress in the State.

He said that during a short span of one and a half years‚ his government took a number of steps to provide better health facilities to the masses at their doorsteps. He said that his government is determined to remove difficulties and resolve problems of the masses and provide free treatment to them in government hospitals.

In his briefing the Health Minister disclosed that government would announce new health policy on Friday with the assurance to follow it strictly.
