AJK: Govt. working on a policy to make Mirpur a model Majeed

Islamabad: Three different delegations separately called on the AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed at Kashmir House in Islamabad and discussed matters relating to issues of their areas.

Talking to the Peoples Party delegation from Mirpur led by Nadeem Hussain Rupiyal he said that government was working on a policy to make Mirpur a model district. He said that to achieve this goal government has initiated a number of development projects to ameliorate the lot of common man.

The AJK Prime Minister said that work is underway on the construction of two stadiums at Islamgarh and Chakswari. Similarly solid steps are being taken to set up an International Islamic University and a Police Training College in the district. He said that two way road from Mirpur to Dhangali and four new Public Parks would also be constructed in the district.

Talking to a delegation of foreign investors led by an Overseas Kashmiri elder Haji Sabir Mughal‚ the AJK Prime Minister assured that the government will encourage foreign investment in the State. He said that all foreign investors would be provided full protection and facilities in this regard. The Prime Minister indicated that there are ample opportunities of investment in hydropower‚ tourism and mineral sectors.
