Islamabad: The Senate resumed its session in Islamabad Tuesday with Chairman Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari in the chair.
Leader of the House Jahangir Badr presented before the House annual report of the National Economic Council for the financial year 2011-12.
The Senate also unanimously passed “The Islamabad Capital Territory Private Educational Institutions (Registration and Regulation) Bill, 2013”.
The bill provides for the registration, regulation and functioning of private educational institutions in Islamabad Capital Territory.
The Bill was moved by Minister for Capital Administration and Development Nazar Muhammad Gondal.
Meanwhile, “The Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Shaheed Medical University (PIMS), Islamabad Bill, 2013” was introduced in the House . The chair referred the bill to the concerned committee of the House and sought report till Thursday.
It was moved by Minister for Capital Administration and Development Nazar Muhammad Gondal. The bill has already been passed by the National Assembly.
