QUETTA: Renowned human rights activist Mohtarma Asma Jahangir has called for converting politics of guns into politics of rights to bring improvement in situation of Balochistan. Government in office should take emergency measures to improve situation in the province.
She said this while addressing lawyers at District Kutchery here Monday.
Zahoor Ahmed Shahwani Advocate, Muneer Kakar and others were also present.
Asma Jahangir said that people from entire country should express sympathy with people of Quetta over incidents at Women University and BMC Hospital. She said society should now decide if there should be civil rule or military dictatorship or they want society of Taliban. She said democracy was established through good governance. Despite majority PMLN did not form its government in Balochistan and gave an opportunity to Nationalist for forming their government. Now there is time for improving the situation. Instead of baffling from this, situation should be faced boldly. She said people of Balochistan want peace and they are thirsty for it.
