QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai has expressed the hope that elected federal and provincial governments would pay special attention on the uplift of this province and resolve problems confronting the people.

He was speaking to a delegation of Chaman which called on him under the leadership of Haji Saifullah here Wednesday.

He appreciated decision to abolish MPAs fund and said that now they would indicate development projects and these would be implemented through concerned departments.

Referring to problems apprised by the delegation Governor said that project for improving Quetta-Chaman road has been approved and work on it would start soon.

Referring to complaint that there are several check posts on way to Chaman where officials deployed harass the people unnecessarily Governor said appropriate steps would be taken for redressal of such complaints by the government.
