Bandit killed, four accomplices overpowered in encounter

Karachi: An alleged bandit was killed and his four accomplices were arrested in police encounter that took place in PECHS Society within the remit of Ferozabad police station on Tuesday. Police said a gang of five bandits, including a woman, barged into a bungalow situated in Pakistan Employees Cooperative Housing Society (PECHS) Block-2 and started looting the house after holding the inmates hostage at gunpoint. A family member informed the area police which rushed to the scene. Resultantly, an encounter between police and bandits took place at bungalow.

During crossfire for some time, an alleged bandit was killed and his four accomplices, including a woman, were arrested by police.

The deceased was identified as Rehan alias Janu 32, son of Shamshad. The arrested criminals were Rehmatullah, son of Sabir, Asad Ali, Amaan Ali, Sabir and woman Shahnaz alias Punter, wife of Islam.
