Bandits deprive lady teacher of Rs20,000

MATLI: Bandits loot Rs20,000 from a lady teacher in Old Fish Market here on Monday.

A lady teacher was going to home in a rickshaw after drawing Rs20,000 cash from a National Bank of Pakistan branch in the town when two bandits intercepted the rickshaw at gunpoint in Old Fish Market area and deprived her of Rs20,000.

The bandits fled to unknown destination after swift operation. The looted woman said that she had asked the rickshaw driver not to go through deserted street but he turned down her request. Sources said some eyewitnesses had identified one of the bandits and informed the police about it.

The police have arrested the rickshaw driver and started further probe.
