Sports Board Punjab Director General Usman Anwar has unveiled plans of constructing grounds and stadia across Punjab during a function held in honour of Taiwan-bound baseball team.
The team which is leaving for Taiwan via Bangkok on Sunday night will take part in the Asian Senior Championships scheduled to be held from Sept 16 to 22.
Sports Board Punjab is planning to build 1000 grounds and stadia in Punjab. Baseball which is an emerging sport in Pakistan will also get an international standard ground in near future, he said while addressing the Pakistan team.
Pakistan Federation Baseball chairman Shaukat Javed thanked Usman for extending help in organising training camp and providing financial help in hiring the Japanese coach.
