Boycott of OPDs against doctor’s kidnapping

Shahdadkot: The doctors and paramedics of all the government hospitals and health units boycotted the OPDs for two hours on Friday to lodge protest against kidnapping of Dr. Abdul Wahid Wadho, MS, Miro Khan Taluka Hospital. Dr. Abdul Wahab, kidnapped on Wednesday evening, is the elder brother of Dr. Abdul Sattar Wadho, the PMA district president of Kambar-Shahdadkot.

The doctors at private clinics also stopped work for two hours as a protest, while PMA took out a rally from civil hospital to press club. The PMA announced closing of all government hospitals from Saturday if serious steps were not taken for recovery of doctor and his driver.

They threatened boycott of anti-polio drive starting from December 17.

Meanwhile, activists of JSQM, PML-N, SNP, JSM, SUP and STPP staged demonstration and sit-in at Koto Moto roundabout here and observed token hunger strike for release of STPP leader Hayat Tunio.
