Call to reconstruct Daska – Pasrur Road

SIALKOT: As many as 28 KMs long main DaskaPasrur Road has become dilapidated with three to four feet deep ditches almost everywhere on this main road due to the slackness of the local elected public representatives in Daska and Pasrur tehsils. This was the only main road providing communication facilities to more than 200,000 people of 200 villages of these tehsils.

The people intending to go Daska, Pasrur, Chawinda, Qila Kalarwala, Zafarwal and Narowal have been facing great difficulties, as what they said that, no vehicle even the donkey carts are not able to pass through these ditches safely on this main road, which often present a look of pond with the drainage and rainy water during the rain. Even no one can pass by foot through this road safely.

President Daska Engineering and Industrial Association Muhammad Asif Bajwa, President Markazi Anjuman Tajran Daska Mian Muhammad Ashraf, former MLA Ch. Maqbool Ahmed Gujar, form UC Nazim Ch. Maqsud Dogar and notables Adnan Gujar, Hameed Ullah Khan, Nouman Rasheed, Muhammad Ashraf and Imran Ahmed Numberdar have strongly protested against this nasty situation.

Talking to the newsmen at Daska they said that the hundreds of the thousands people frequently travel through this dilapidated and shabby road, while, the hundreds of the local farmers also bring their agricultural produce in local markets at Daska and Pasrur, as this was the only main road which links them.

They pointed out that this road had been constructed 20 years ago, since then it had never been repaired or constructed due to which it has three to four inches ditches almost everywhere on it.
The travelling of minutes was being done in hours due to very slow paced movement of vehicles on this road. They said that the dozens of the main dacoity and robbery incidents have yet been occurred on this road.

They said that PMLN MNA Zahid Hamid Pasrur, MNA Sahibzada Syed Murtaza Ameen and MPAs Ch. Jamil Ashraf Baryar and Ch. Yahiya Gul Nawaz Daska had made several political promises regarding the early construction of this main road before the 2008 general elections. But, after winning these polls, they have not yet honored their political promises regarding the reconstruction of DaskaPasrur Road. They were not taking interest in this burning issue.
