Call to revive glories of Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Dr Riaz Ahmed Memon has directed officers and staff members of his office and sub ordinate offices to be punctual in their duty and maintain cleanliness in their offices.

He directed them for efficient discharging of official work and providing relief to people. This he directed while holding an introductory meeting with officers and staff members of his office at Shahbaz Building, Hyderabad. He said that he would conduct surprise visit to any office at any time and would take strict action in case anyone is found defaulter.

The Divisional Commissioner expressed his apprehensions over heaps of garbage on the roads and streets and directed officers concerned to perform their duty accordingly and give relief to the common man. Dr Riaz Ahmed Memon was of the view that proper functioning of the public oriented departments could mostly resolve the public problems.

He said that beautification of Hyderabad and cleanliness would reduce the health bill of individual and organizations.

He said that though organization concerned are the responsible for job but the active cooperation of the other stakeholders and general public is essential to make city clean.

He said that all organizations are interlinked with each others in this subject and each of them has to play its active role in its own interest. He said that he has convened a meeting to discuss and decide the effective strategy to maintain cleanliness and beautify Hyderabad. He said that Hyderabad has been remained a beautiful, healthy and clean city in the past and we all have to revive its old glories.
