Career guidance seminar at Hala

Hala: About 200 youths gathered at Government Law College Hala to participate in a career guidance seminar on “Career Planning Steps and Stages” organized by Youth Empowering Spaces (YES).

YES is an initiative of Sindh Youth Affairs Department and is being implemented by Habib University Foundation (H.U.F.). It seeks to facilitate youth with key knowledge, skills and attitudes which enable them to aspire for a healthy and productive life. YES is being implemented in Karachi, Jamshoro and Matiari.

Participants at the seminar got acquainted with concepts that could help them plan their career more effectively. Seminar included a panel discussion, in which panellists from Hunar Foundation, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences and other professionals shared their views about forthcoming careers and job opportunities in social sector, medical sciences, and entrepreneurial ventures.

The seminar was organized in collaboration with Sindh Community Foundation (SCF), Hyderabad.

Syed Faisal Subzwari, Sindh Minister for Youth Affairs in his message commended YES team for taking praiseworthy initiative for the Youth of Matiari, who lack knowledge relating learning opportunities and career building aspect.

Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui, Secretary-Youth Affairs Department, enunciated that more seminars will continue to take place in other tehsils of Matiari to benefit youth with avenues allied to career building.
