CCTV Cameras’ network planned for all industrial areas of Karachi

Karachi: The city administration has planned laying the network of Close Circuit TV cameras in all the industrial areas of Karachi to combat the ever increasing crimes. The CCTV cameras installed there would be linked to Command and Control System setup at central police office.

Presiding over a meeting in this regard, Additional Commissioner Karachi Kamran Shamshad said all the representative associations of industrial areas should contact the police department and KMC so that a comprehensive strategy could be devised to avoid duplication of CCTVs and any difficulty for the industrialists.

Senior Director, IT, Masood Alam said the industrialists would also be provided technical assistance and guidance.

Representatives of Civil Aviation Authority, Karachi Port Trust, Port Qasim, DHA, Cantonment Boards, industrial areas of SITE, Landhi, Korangi, North Karachi, FB Area, Bin Qasim and others attended the meeting.
