Changes in varsities bill soon: Governor

KARACHI: Governor Sindh and Chancellor of public sector universities of the province Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan said on Wednesday that amendments are being made in universities bill without compromising quality of education.

He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of Vice Chancellors at Governor House. Senior Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro and others were present on the occasion.

The governor asked the VCs to generate new sources of income to overcome or at least minimize their deficit to some extent. He said that all universities should prepare a comprehensive and viable strategy to ensure utmost security for the campuses.
